Kefa Mafumo, the Assistant Private Secretary to Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has called for dialogue as a way forward of solving stalemates in the political arena of Bugisu Sub region and Uganda at large.
Kefa says that learning from the past and planning for the future will promote the survival of the present, which he says is key in setting standards that can propel the country’s institutions forward.
Mafumo explained this in an exclusive interview with our reporter on the sidelines of his community engagement meetings in Butiru, Manafwa District, on Tuesday evening.
Kefa reveals that a lot of time is wasted on counter accusations, cheap gossip, blame games, and unnecessary fights instead of lobbying for the communities adding that the UBUNTU concept, which he said promotes brotherhood and sisterhood, adding that positive energy ought to be pushed to fix gaps for the benefit of the sub region.
Kefa asked religious, cultural, and elected leaders to engage key stakeholders for a meeting to address issues affecting Bugisu.
