Prime minister Robinah Nabbanja has held a discussion with Uganda’s ambassador to Ethiopia HE Amuge Rebecca Otengo.
The meeting took place at the PM’s office where Amuge paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed premier.

In their discussion, Amuge briefed the premier on Uganda’s multilateral arrangements at the African Union, bilateral arrangements with Ethiopia and Djibouti in addition to other cooperations that exist under the auspices of IGAD and UN Commission for Africa.

As head of Uganda’s government operations, Amb. Amuge requested for a focal person to ease communication between her office and that of the prime minister. She said her office would be contacting the PM from time to time.

She also went to congratulate Rt. Hon. Nabbanja on her recent appointment as leader of government business.
“I thank the president for the wisdom God has given him to make cabinet. He appointed hon. Nabbanja as prime minister and he made a good choice. I have worked with her at various levels and she has never disappointed. She’s hardworking,

transformative, efficient and consistent. I believe she will deliver even on this assignment. She will be helping us to coordinate MDAs and we will be contacting her from time to time” Amuge said in the meeting.

Uganda and Ethiopia enjoy cordial relations and have been pivotal in efforts to pacify Somalia. Nabbanja was named premier three months ago but so far her work has proved to be excellent. She’s ever in the field monitoring government programs unlike previous premiers.
