The Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) at Kyambogo has handed over Shs5m to Kamwokya Boxing Clubs in an effort to promote their talent.
According to ONC head and National Cordinator of the Bazzukulu movement Hajat Namyalo Hadijah Uzeiye, this money was promised by Gen. Museveni during the youth day celebrations for Kampala Central recently.
She said the fulfilment of this pledge is an indication that president Museveni fully respects the young people and is willing to do more for them.

“We visited Kamwokya ghettos, they needed equipment to use in their sport. We have brought the money for them to promote their talent to be on international level. I urge you to stop taking part in protests, you shouldn’t be used by self seekers. Use your talent to make money for your pockets and homes” Uzeiye counseled the boxers led by their chairman Steven Muhiire.

Muhiire described this group as the most dangerous in Kamwokya and was involved in burning tyres. He said with this support from the president, they were now changed people and are going to concentrate on constructive work.

Meanwhile, Uzeiye congratulated Ugandans for keeping themselves healthy and also thanked God for keeping Museveni alive and ready to work with the Bazzukulu.
“I urge the entire country to rally behind Gen. Museveni. Don’t drink and drive. Don’t be used by opportunists. Let us not be used by hooligans” she urged and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and prosperous new year.
