Bishop Luwalira Launches Bible-Based Church In Entebbe

The Bishop of Namirembe Diocese Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira has commissioned a unique church which has been built on the foundation of the Bible.

St Mark Arkright Sekiwunga Church of Uganda is located in Kitende parish, Entebbe Archdeaconry Namirembe diocese.


Energy and Mineral Development minister Ruth Nankabirwa who is the chief mobiliser of the Bible House explained that Anglicans based on the Biblical teachings to build this unique church


“We started ground breaking of this church on 20th August 2018 and decided to follow what is in the Bible whether it’s foundation, roofing and tilling among others” she said.
Nankabirwa cited the Bible, where it is said the church was built in four years. She said the Anglicans have followed this and equally constructed this church within the same time.


“Not even the outbreak of Covid-19 could stop us from doing the GOD’s work. The bishop has come here to celebrate with us and he has okayed it’s operations since it has all the requirements needed. It is the first church in Uganda to be built on the foundation of the Bible and will work as a tourist attraction” she said.


Meanwhile, Bp. Luwalira expressed fear on how Uganda’s economy was destroyed the Covid-19 pandemic but however urged Ugandans to trust God the provider.
“It’s time to take back children to school but parents don’t have money. I urge you (parents) to trust God, every thing will be fine” the bishop said.


Luwalira applauded Anglicans for constructing this historical house of God (church) which has the Bible foundation.
