The Minister for Micro Finance also NRM CEC vice chairpesron central region Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo has appealed to all NRM primaries losers to reconcile with the party (NRM) flag bearers to enable NRM and president Museveni in particular to retain his support the upcoming general elections in Buganda region.
Kasolo made the remarks while addressing a special meeting for all NRM flag bearers in Buganda region in different categories at Hotel Africana with a goal to unite support for president Museveni in Buganda under the project Buganda for Museveni.
The meeting was organized to forge ways how president Museveni will retain his support in Buganda in the 2026 elections.
“We all belong to the same family. Lets work together for the good cause of our mighty party NRM. Those who lost in previous elections should support flag bearers at different categories to enable them win elections” Kasolo said
Kasolo added that “Our father (M7) has a big house which has the capacity to accommodate all his children. We shall engage him (Museveni) to make sure that he supports those who lost previous party primaries.
On service delivery,Kosolo warned all service providers to check themselves in a period of two months. “We are going to investigate why service providers don’t give services to the people” he questioned adding that president Museveni has done everything in Buganda but service providers sabotage him by not giving services to people especially in Buganda.
On the issue of land grabbing in Uganda, Buganda in particular; Kasolo said that whoever is involved in grabbing land will face the laws.
“Its good we are moving with the attorney general in this cause and ready to intervene” he said.
About electricity. Kasolo said that government through the ministry of energy will do whatever it takes to connect all areas in Buganda to power lines
“The minister of energy has directed UEDCL to make sure it solves the issue of electricity in Buganda and other areas” he said.
He has further warned RDC’s DPC’s to take away they differences with NRM flag bears. “Don’t stress our people (flag bearers) whether you like them or not,you must support flag bearers by all means since you are the government representatives at district level. he warned.
“We have to make sure that president Museveni wins Buganda and the central region with a high percentage and NRM in particular”.
” Our friends in the Northern region are willing to vote for Museveni by 85% in the coming elections. The same to Karamoja region, Eastern region after the collapsing of FDC has come back on the same table with NRM. Western region is automatically for Museveni. We must prioritize Museveni and NRM come 2026″ He noted
Meanwhile, Buvuma county MP also chairman of NRM Buganda caucus Robert Migadde Ndugwa has urged all NRM members not to fight each other for the good cause of NRM.
The meeting has unanimously resolved to vote for president Museveni by 85% in Buganda in the coming 2026 general elections and also 80% MP slots.
