Prime Minister Nabbanja Robinah has assured industrialists that power tarrifs for industries will soon be lowered.
She said the president has already directed that the tarrifs be lowered down, a directive she vowed to implement soonest so as to facilitate more production by industries.
She made the remarks as she discussed a number of issues with one of the local industries-Roofings’ directors.
Nabbanja in company of Minister for Trade and Cooperatives Hon Mwebesa and State Minister for Works and Transport Hon Musa Ecweru conducted a guided visit at Roofings Group of Companies in Namanve Industrial Park.
The premier and team later conducted a meeting with Top Company Directors and discussed a number of issues aimed at enhancing service delivery at Roofings and the steel industry sector in Uganda.

She commended Roofings for what she called high quality products produced and the outstanding contribution to Uganda’s economy for the last 27 years.
“I want to pledge before you that I will ensure that the directive by the President to reduce on the power tariffs for industries is implemented” she said.
