NAMISINDWA: Residents of Bumbo Sub-County in Namisindwa district are biter with the shoddy works in the construction of the Sub-County offices.
The locals are particularly up in arms with their Subcounty Assistant Secretary, Alex Welikhe accusing him of sleeping on the job as he was the one overseeing the construction works located in Buwundu parish.
Our Inspector visited the site and discovered that the building measured at about 4feet from the foundation using locally made bricks, lacks concrete pillars.
Residents led by the area leaders, David Luluba- youth councilor and the LC2 chairperson for Buwundu, James Masaaba want the building demolished and set up a strong one with concrete pillars to show value for money allocated.
Masaba expressed fear that the building may not see it’s first anniversary upon completion unless it’s pulled down to put concrete pillars.
