Sironko: Of recent Engineer Darlington Sakwa was over heard talking to someone at a coffee restaurant in Mbale city that it’s very difficult to sustain a lie unless you’re a genius. That Haji Suleiman Mafabi Lumolo is NRM UNSUNG HERO IN SIRONKO is the truth and nothing but the truth.
It cannot be disputed that the MIGHTY NRM currently holds the biggest MAJORITY of all the seats on all local councils in Budadiri West and indeed Sironko district, save for, the seat of MPs at least for now but not again as Haji Sulayiman Lumolo has vowed.
Haji sulaiman LUMOLO the chairman NRM Sironko district has suffered a spate of grave malicious propaganda and attacks against him by detractors.
He is alleged to have led to the collapse of NRM in sironko district, this not true but a manifestation of self seeking and selfish political opportunists & false prophets of doom.
Every other unfortunate contender in NRM primary has had comfortable refuge in a false claim that Haj Sulaiman LUMOLO is the one who rigged them out,of course people have freedom of expression to express their satisfaction but to us as Banyafwa, Bayobo and Badadiri of Sironko we shall not relent and cannot leave our niece (Aisha Lumolo) to go down that way without a fight,no way.
Withstanding these rhetorics my submission today is majorly about the achievements Haji Sulaiman LUMOLO has registered in the district of Sironko as NRM chairman:
1.MASS MOBILIZATION
When Haji Sulaiman LUMOLO came to NRM leadership of Sironko district in 2011, he found the whole district painted blue up to village level,I mean forum for democratic change (FDC) had occupied all political posts in the district up to village level.
He set up formidable Mobilization teams in the district and NRM substantively made tremendous gains at district and constituency level as follows:
1.He was able to scoop woman member of Parliament honourable Florence Nambozo.
2.Honourable Vincent Woboya Budadiri East
3.Honourable Herbert Mulekwa the LCV District chair.
The district was on the verge of total liberation unfortunately, individual interests in the NRM led to inter party rivalry that led to uncalled for and unnecessary loss of Budadiri East constituency to FDC by a margin of 1000 votes due to the uprising by NRM leaning independent candidates coupled with the unfortunate interference from Budadiri west, but this time this will not happen whatsoever rain or shine.
The NRM feud further escalated to the loss of the seat of LCV chair, things went sour against the NRM candidate due to his alliance with particular camp. He was victimized due to a trick employed by the FDC to lure honourable Livingston Giruli in exchange for FDC support, due to his dedication to service delivery to the community with the adage “ajuka injuka” NRM supporters voted for him on individual merit though he had camouflaged as FDC like a chameleon.
Despite honourable Giruli’s camouflage as FDC but as (an NRM at heart) he has ably balanced service delivery to both parties in the district councils without bias.
I am made to believe that NRM recovery effort in the district is going to reap high with the emerging equation of Barrister Peter Magomu Mashate who has to-date ably weakened the once formidable FDC grass root structures in Budadiri West. These are now in open rebellion led by youth like Misikali Kabiri amongst many. This has been achieved by his effective continuing open and clandestine work in the constituency.The NRM is poised to sweep all elective posts in 2026 praise to HAJI LUMOLO.
2.DISTRICT AND LOWER LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILS.
There’s a wrong perception by self seekers that FDC is the dominant party in Sironko district, I dispell this assertion with much contempt it deserves, if you may agree with me according to the under mentioned break down and statistics:
1.District council is comprised of 75 honourable councillors out of which 46 are NRM,13 NRM leaning relegating FDC to paltry 16 councillors.
2. At sub county and Town councils there are 859 councillors,NRM has 772 councillors FDC 83.
3.Subcounty and Town council chairmen,NRM has 22 chairmen ,NRM leaning 7 FDC13.
Ladies and gentlemen, with the above statics,do you go by the devil and you close your eyes to pretend that FDC has an upper hand in Sironko and Haji LUMOLO is a liability to the district? Anyway Satan is still powerful with his evil schemes of misleading GOD’s people.
HAJI LUMOLO’S GENEROSITY & SACRIFICE FOR NRM & PRESIDENT MUSEVENI.
There’s a legendary tale ” like father like daughter”,I don’t know who has borrowed the spirit of generosity between the daughter Aisha Nabulo and the father, Haji Sulaiman LUMOLO from his own hard earned money constructed office premise and donated it to NRM which was opened up on 01.8.2014.
Coupled with all this generous spirit chairman LUMOLO is
individually bankrolling and sponsoring all NRM activities in the district using his own resources.
With all these sacrifices Haji LUMOLO has made,I am sure with the emergence factor of Barrister Peter Magomu Mashate – UMUYOBO ERA UMWIWANA UMUHALASI- (indeed, another tested historical cadre of the NRM from the inaugural formation of Uganda Patriotic Movement(UPM 1980) now in the Sironko district politics and the unrelenting mobilization effort by Aisha Mafabi Nabulo through her multi billion shillings donations to the community NRM is destined to sweep all elective posts in the district.
