DRDC Tips Girls On Positive Lifestyle

: Julie Namara the Namisindwa District Deputy Resident District Commissioner has asked young girls to take care on themselves and prioritize education.

Namara made the call while addressing students of St John’s College, Magale a top secondary school in Namisindwa on Wednesday afternoon.

Namara asked students to concentrate since this is a promotional term.
“We need to invest in adolescent girls if Uganda is to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty. I want to call upon all stakeholders especially parents to play their roles towards improving the lives of young girls” she said.

Meanwhile, Sophie Kuloba the Namisindwa District Education Officer asked parents to support girls who are in school explaining that numbers might be affected by the ongoing imbalu festive

Nabunya Shadia the Namisindwa District Police Commander emphasized her commitment towards supporting and mainstreaming imbalu festive to tame hooliganism
