Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has eulogized fallen former Buyaga county legislator Ignatius Besisira, describing him as a patriotic and dedicated leader.
This was during her visit to the home of the former MP where she joined other Ugandans to mourn him at Buziga a Kampala surbab.
Addressing mourners together with family members, Nabbanja said that the Country has lost a great person especially the people in Bunyoro region.
She expressed sympathy for losing her long time friend whom she described as a true patriot.
“I have served with him in different Political offices since 1990’s” She said discribing the late Basisira as a committed, dedicated and patriotic leader.
Nabbanja who is the Kakumiro district woman MP contributed Shs5m to help in burial expenses.
Stephen Twesige and Gerald Businge on behalf of the late’s family members appreciated President Museveni and NRM Party for the for support extended to the late late Basisira.
The late Besisira served as a councilor for greater Kiryanga-Kibaale district local government, speaker and a member of parliament for 10 years representing Buyaga county.
After losing his parliamentary seat, he was appointed by President Museveni as a commissioner in local government Finance Commission.
Besisira died yesterday at Platinum hospital and will be laid to rest on Wednesday this week at Kamata village, Pachwa town council in Kagadi district.
