Farmers in Budaka district particularly those in Iki-Iki County are still in a jubilant mood after one of their sons Mujomba Gagi through his charity organization-Mujomba Foundation gave them seedlings and hoes.

The farmers majority of whom have been facing challenges of getting seeds coupled with lack of reasonable tools to use in their gardens, commended Mujomba for the donation.

This was yesterday in Mugiti sub-county Iki-Iki county in Budaka district.

Julius Natudei an aspirant for LCIII Chairperson Kamokoli Town Council who represented Mujomba Gagi at the function, explained the purpose of the donations.

“These items are meant to empower farmers such that they can improve on food production and house hold income. The majority of people at Iki-Iki are farmers but some have  challenges in terms of getting inputs since they are expensive” he said.

Natudei adds that the foundation has been doing other developments in the constituency like repairing boreholes, supporting young youths in developing their talents among others.

He warned them against misusing those items saying they should use them for that right purpose to improve on household income and increasing food production.

Sumba Alisa from Bumesua village, Florence Naigina  from Buloki village and Katoko Hadija from  Namakisho village all farmers in Mugiti sub county, on behalf of others were thankful to Mujomba Gagi for his generosity.

The farmers said the donation is going to help them in boosting food production and income generation.

The excited farmers urged other leaders to emulate Mujomba by supporting them such that Budaka can be uplifted. Mujomba Gagi is currently playing the role of ‘Acting MP’ for Iki-Iki County as he’s the one always attending to people’s concerns. No wonder, voters have now resolved to officially give him the mandate to represent them in the 12th Parliament due to his seriousness in lobbying and service delivery.
