‘Vague’ Headache Attacks Gen. Museveni While In Bed But Says He Drunk More Water To Cure It

President Museveni has continued to update the nation about his current status after he was diagnosed with coronavirus.

The president has since taken a forced leave, now counting three days away from the public.

In a statement from State House signed by him, the head of state revealed that he was attacked by what he called a ‘vague’ Headache which he managed to treat by drinking more water on the advice of his daughter Patience Kokundeeka.

“It’s now 3 days in my corona status. Yesterday, day 2, I felt very sleepy around 11am yet I had slept well the previous night. Hence, I slept soundly up to the 9th hour of the day (3pm)” he explains.

He went on ‘when I woke up, I was fresh and I wrote a short speech for the Rt. Hon. Nabbanja to give in Luweero today because VP Alupo is representing us in Lusaka-COMESA summit’

The president says he slept at 10pm and woke up at 3am with a slight vague headache.

“I call it vague because it was not ‘obwaabe’ (temples headache) or crown of the head (oruhora-hoore) and it was not around engata (the ring) of the head. When I sat up and drank more water as advised by my daughter Patience Kokundeeka, the headache went away and I slept again” he said in his address to Bazzukulu and Ugandans.

Museveni said that according to his long time personal doctor Diana Atwine, this is a mild case and should be managed conservatively by using vitamin C, D and other vitamins and some other histamines.

He said he asked Atwiine what the other cases are described, who which she responded as moderate or severe. Museveni said Atwiine told him that these need other interventions.

“I am the one who told Atwiine to announce my corona status the other day. I was still busy with other issues. I will wait for two more days and do the test again. It seems the immunization and the boosters for the immunization do help” he said and promised to keep giving updates.

He asked people to get immunized and also other especially grannies to get boosters.

The president earlier this week during his state of the nation address informed parliament that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He henceforth took forced leave after what he called 53years in his struggles.
