Under Pressure! To Hell With Your Joint Campaigns Roadmap! Let Gen. Museveni Throw It Out Because It’s Targeting Us! Panicky Ministers, NRM MPs Gang Up Against Tanga, Todwong Claiming Roadmap Favors NUP Candidates!

Having successfully cornered him on giving them Shs100m last week (by the way they denied it until Gen. Museveni exposed them), several ministers and NRM MPs are said to be fronting another demand to the Chief of State, also NRM chairman Gen. Yoweri Museveni in respect of the just launched NRM political Roadmap!

The MPs and ministers had spent about three months pressuring the President to bail them out with some money claiming that the situation in their Constituencies was worsening every other day and yet they have nothing to give voters in order to talk to them.

Now, the latest is that the same panicky men and women are now seeking for a grand opportunity to fix the President again in a tight corner and sweettalk him into either withdrawing or alter the freshly released NRM political roadmap!

Inspectors assured us that their alleged area of concern is on the issue of holding joint campaigns which they believe is only targeting their ouster from their current seats as they will not be able to face off with vibrant competitors mainly youths on the same podium.

As such, the Ministers, District Chairpersons and MPs many of whom are aged, have served endless terms and above all, had saved billions to go and buy their way out are now said to be in a total fix courtesy of Tanga Odoi and Richard Todwong!

“A power struggle has emerged within the NRM party over the adoption of joint campaign rallies in upcoming primaries. Senior NRM politicians mainly incumbents are claiming that this strategy favors young and controversial candidates, potentially sidelining veteran party leaders who have made significant contributions to the party” explained an inspector.

So determined in their push, according to Inspectors, that these perceived crafty men and women started off their strategy by dispatching a group of ‘senior NRM politicians’ from different districts  to meet the son of Mzee Amos Kaguta and Mama Esteeri Kokundeka at Mubende but were successfully blocked from meeting him. Museveni has been in Greater Mubende area on PDM assessment program.

“They had planned to convince the President to alter the NRM Political Roadmap, which was recently launched and approved by the CEC. The group is wider and also consists of NRM district Chairpersons” explained an inspector.

“These young people have done nothing for the party. We also know that there are some within the party who want to use them against veteran/incumbent leaders. But we shall do everything possible including using the NRM caucus to block it” an inspector explained quoting a top politician involved in the deal.

In their claim, the plotters want to market an idea to the Man with a Round hat, that the joint campaign rallies are not good because they will give rise to weak poor NRM Flag bearers who will be defeated by Bobi Wine’s NUP!

“NRM must only succeed if it can protect its people who have worked for it for decades, not these youth who are only interested in money. We want the President to see this before things worsen. Someone needs to explain this to him and cause changes in that Tanga roadmap” said an inspector.

Interestingly, the youths are on the other hand praising Tanga and Todwong group for coining this campaign strategy.

They according to Inspectors, believe joint rallies will revitalize the party, empower grassroots members, and allow people to choose their preferred candidates and not those with money and power.

“If you have served the people, why then do you fear joint rallies? Joint rallies are good as they will make our party vibrant, reduce intrigue, reduce costs, and curb violence” an inspector said, giving us the majority’s thinking about the roadmap.

The youthful politicians are also said to be calling for an independent NRM electoral commission in all districts to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections. They highlighted black spot  districts mainly in Buganda, Busoga, Teso, West Nile, Ankole, Bunyoro and Lango (the names of the districts is here with us). Here, they want the NRM Electoral Commission from headquarters to directly intervene to prevent electoral irregularities by taking over election process or appoint new Registrars as incumbents are allegedly determined to ‘snatch the flags’ by all means.

The divide within NRM highlights the challenges the party faces in balancing the interests of veteran leaders and young politicians. While senior politicians feel that joint rallies will unfairly benefit young candidates, youthful politicians believe this strategy will revitalize the party and promote free and fair elections.

As the party navigates these internal conflicts, the outcome will likely shape NRM’s future and its ability to attract and retain members. The call for an independent electoral commission in districts like Luweero, Kayunga, Kamuli, Bugiri, Sironko, Kibaale, Ibanda, Mitooma, Kitgum, Amuria, Tororo, Lira City, Sembabule, Gomba, Mpigi, Budaka among others (regarded as black spots) underscores the need for transparency and fairness in the electoral process.

“Ultimately, the success of NRM’s joint campaign rallies will depend on the party’s ability to manage internal conflicts and ensure that all members feel represented and valued. By embracing change and promoting inclusivity, NRM can strengthen its position and build a more vibrant and dynamic party” explained an inspector adding that Tanga Odoi now has a big task of ensuring that his presence in that office builds the party and all it’s cadres than breaking it! Over to you Gen. Museveni!
