In a bid to promote Tourism in Jinja City and Uganda at large, a delegation of Travel Agencies from Qatar has visited the iconic Source of the Nile, one of Africa’s most renowned landmarks.

The delegation was led by Uganda’s Deputy Head of Mission in Qatar, Haji Muhammad Baswari Kezaala.
They toured the Jinja Golf Course, Source of the Nile, Jinja Sailing Club, and Busowoko falls on May 18th, 2025.
Ambassador Kezaala said the 8-member delegation is in Uganda to explore several of Uganda’s attractions. They started with visiting Gorillas at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and later visited Tourist sites in Jinja.
“Thereafter, the Travel Agents will promote Uganda to the world when they’re back in Qatar. They will do this by sharing their experiences through live social media streams” he said.
Kezaala also tipped well-to-do entrepreneurs in Jinja city to construct luxurious eco-hotels on the banks of River Nile so as to attract more tourists and promote Jinja as the adventure capital of East Africa.
The delegation is also in Uganda to attend the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) at Munyonyo that started today May 20th and will end on May 24th, 2025.
