Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality, was yesterday Sunday, a place for high activity as people of all walks of life converged at Peak Hotel!
The very unusual ceremony brought together top cream leaders from Bushenyi and beyond to celebrate a mega achievement in form of a graduation ceremony.
The big graduation was hosted by none other than Ms Peace Kansiime, the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Sub Region Coordinator, Western Region whose beloved daughter Prisca Natukunda graduated from KIU Kansanga Campus with a degree in ICT. Many well wishers from the region contributed to the party all of them describing Kansiime as a hardworking and very committed cadre of the Movement.
Like her name suggests, Peace has been involved in efforts to bring peace among NRM people to burry their hatchet and work for unity.
Indeed, addressing the well attended ceremony, Busheny LC5 Chairman Jafferi Basajjabalaba, commended Peace for being a good messenger of the ONC and for ably amplifying the message of “Jjajja Tova Ku Main”.
Equally in attendance, was the Managing Director for National Water and Sewerage Eng Dr. Silver Mugisha and his wife Anne Mugisha who both asked the young people to be job creators than seekers.
Meanwhile, Peace Kansiime’s workmates at ONC were there in full detail to celebrate with her.
The team showered praises on President Museveni saying, because of what he has done for the development of the country and the work that still remains to be done, Ugandans should massively vote him into power again in 2026. The host herself, Peace Kansiime’s also hailed President Museveni for having taken Uganda from being a failed state to one which can now sit at respectable forums globally.
“Mzee brought sanity to our country and we shall not allow anybody to fail his bid for Presidency in 2026. Uganda still needs him” she said and also thanked ONC head, Hajati Hadijah Namyalo for doing excellent mobilisation for “Mzee tova ku main”.
“Hajati Namyalo is a nationalist who does not discriminate people along tribal lines. I thank her for being very fair in distributing development implements to uplift the livelihood of the people wherever she goes” Kansiime said amid applause.
Officiating at the ceremony, Hon Mary Karooro Okurut, the Senior Presidential Adviser on Public relations said President Museveni has successfully held the country together, the reason Ugandans always vote him back in power.
” Mzee is the very able Captain of a winning team of NRM. You cannot change a winning team and that’s why we must vote him again in 2026″ he advised.
She also hailed the head of ONC Hajati Namyalo for being a committed, focused, Mobilizer and charismatic leader, saying as people of Bushenyi and NRM in general, they are proud of her.
Karooro Okurut also thanked Peace for her principled and honest approach to whatever she does. She added that Peace has even managed to convince people from opposition parties to join NRM and support Mzee. Hon Karooro pledged to pay tuition for Prisca saying education is an indelible possession. The function was attended by RDCs including the ones of Bushenyi, Mitooma and Rubirizi, local councillors and religious leaders from across board. The ceremony was crowned with wining and dining amid chantings of Mzee Tova Ku Main!
