Iddi Isabirye, the Chairperson of Busoga Parliamentary Caucus suggests that former speaker of parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga may be running an ‘imaginary feud’ against Busoga leaders especially MPs!
This comes amid media reports quoting the former speaker as having castigated some of the Busoga leaders including some MPs accusing them of working for her ouster as NRM second national Vice Chairperson (female).

Kadaga these days seems to be under intense pressure after speaker Anita Among came out and declared her intentions to send her packing because the lady from Bukedea also wants to seat at the NRM party’s top policy formulation committee (CEC)!
Among therefore, found it necessary to raid Kadaga’s current position on CEC something which has left the lady from Kamuli with a tough situation leading to verbal artilleries and suspicions.
In what seemed to be her reaction to this Among threat, the Kamuli woman MP, also minister for East African Affairs blamed some of the MPs led by Milton Muwuma (Kigulu South) of orchestrating a calandestine plot fuelled by Among to oust her.
In a meeting at Jinja City hall, Isabirye who chairs the Busoga caucus took to the podium, cleared his throat very well and declared that Kadaga’s assumptions were simply imaginary.
“No one is fighting Mama Kadaga. No one! By the way I don’t know, how does this fight look like? Is it physical or? No one is fighting her” Isabirye said in a fully packed meeting involving all Busoga leaders including Ministers.
At this juncture, Kadaga hadn’t arrived yet for the meeting which she later joined but Isabirye didn’t repeat his earlier assertions for participants to pick her mind on it.
The same Isabirye heeped praises on President Museveni’s special assistant on press and mobilization/deputy State House spokesperson Hajji Faruk Kirunda whom he said has done a tremendous job in uniting warring factions among Busoga leaders.
“I thank in a special way, Hajji Faruk Kirunda. He reached out to individual persons to try to establish the source of the problem. He investigated and eventually brought people together. He has done us well” he said.
This meeting had been summoned for the leaders to put their heads together and strategize on how to make the impending Museveni’s PDM tour to Busoga very colorful and fruitful for the Sub-Region. The meeting was summoned on the instructions of Presidency minister Milly Babirye Babalanda. It was attended by Ministers Rukia Nakadama, Babalanda, Kadaga, SPA Florence Mutyabule, MPs, Regional security bosses, CAOs, RCC, RDCs among others.
