It was a cheerful moment as Uganda’s Vice President Maj. Jessica Alupo arrived in Tanzania last evening.
The soft-spoken 2iC travelled to the neighbouring country to represent her boss and CiC Gen. Yoweri Museveni during the commemoration of 60 years of the Union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar.

Alupo who was clad in her trade mark well tailored Kitenge with a scarf, arrived in Dar es Salaam last evening and was warmly received at Julius Nyerere International Airport by the Tanzanian minister for minerals.

At the airport, Alupo was treated to momentous African dance and tunes by a jubilant group of ladies blowing flutes and other instruments.
A visibly joyous Alupo who is also Katakwi district woman MP later held brief talks with the courtesy minister.
