NRM Secretariat Staff Receive Iftar Foodstuff From Colleagues In The Diaspora.

The office of Diaspora Affairs under President’s Office has donated Iftar foodstuff to both Muslims and non-Muslim staff at the NRM secretariat.

Haj. Abbey Kigozi Walusimbi, the presidential advisor on Diaspora affairs says NRM fans in the Diaspora especially those from USA and UK donated these items as a sign of brotherhood with their fellow party colleagues in Uganda and also wish them a happy Eid.

Walusimbi urged all NRM fans in Uganda and those in Diaspora to work together to promote and support their party at all levels.

“If we love each other as NRM fans, we shall fulfill the party programs” he said.

Meanwhile the NRM deputy Secretary General, Rose Namayanja Nsereko while handing over the donated items to the secretariat staff at the party headquarters, applauded the party Diaspora fans for their generosity towards their brothers and sisters in Uganda. 

“I want to congratulate all Ugandans and Muslims in particular upon the completion of the Holly Ramadhan and upon fulfilling one of the pillars on Islam ” she said adding that Ramadhan has been a peaceful period and that all Muslims have been peaceful. 

She however urged the Muslim fraternity to continue with the peace exhibited during Ramadhan.

“We urge all Muslims world over to continue with the peace and togetherness they have practiced during Ramadhan” she urged

 She described the donation as a step in the right direction to achieve teamwork and togetherness in the party and wished all Muslims around the world a joyous Eid.

The foodstuff donated to the secretariat include rice, sugar and meat among others.
