NRM MP SOLOMON SILWANYI: We Have Been Given Shs50m Each For Yellow Book Registration

MP Solomon Silwanyi

NRM Members of Parliament are swimming in yet another cash bonanza worth Shs50m each.

This money according to Bukooli Central MP Solomon Silwanyi, is meant for dishing out to villages and parishes as the ruling party moves ahead with its recruitment drive across the country. The registration began on March 13 and ends today Sunday.

Silwanyi says each MP was given Shs50m of which Shs60000 was to go to every village and Shs40k to every parish as facilitation for mobilization of the party fans.

“The president has given every (NRM) MP Shs50m cash. This money is to go to every village to cater for (NRM) LC1, LC2, Youth and Chairperson Local Council. Shs40000 to go to every parish. I have already sent that facilitation as it is supposed to be” he told Abasoga.

He said as MPs, they are mobilizing for the President’s vote using this dime.

He called upon all people including those aged 16 and above to come out in good numbers to be registered in the yellow book.

“I want to encourage everyone to come for registration in the yellow book. We started yesterday and it ends on Sunday” he urged.

If what he says is true, this means the NRM chairman Museveni forked out Shs16.35bn to his legislators. There are 327 NRM legislators in the house, excluding army MPs and Ex-oficio members totaling 28.
