Namisindwa Youth Councilor Donates 1000 Reflector Jackets To Boda Boda Cyclists

By Martin Madabali

Bwayo Emma, the Namisindwa NRM Male Youth Councilor donated 1,000 reflector jackets to commercial motorcycle riders across 32 stages in the district over the weekend.

The donation provided by his well-wishers is aimed at improving safety and compliance with traffic regulations for boda boda riders by providing them with reflective jackets. He emphasized the importance of wearing reflective gear to enhance visibility on the roads.

During meetings with various boda boda riders, Emma encouraged them to participate in government programs to boost their daily incomes and improve their household situations.

Meanwhile, Shedrack Magomu, chairperson of the Busulwa Boda Boda stage, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that Emma was the first to support them in the hilly areas.

George Walubengo, chairperson of the Munamba 1 Boda Boda stage, said traffic authorities had previously warned him about the lack of reflective jackets, and he praised Emma for addressing the concerns of the boda boda community. It is reported that Emma Bwayo harbours intentions of sending current LC5 chairman of Namisindwa District to the jobless crew in the district come 2026.
