By Emma Bwayo

Bamasaaba students have been urged to promote peace and unity by the Secretary General of Inzu Ya Masaba, Herbert Mulekwa.

Mulekwa made the call while presiding over the handover of Bamasaaba National Students Association (BANSA) leaders in Mbale district.

He emphasized the importance of young leaders engaging in projects that bring people together and expressed the readiness of inzu leadership to collaborate with student leaders to spread the message of peace and unity among all students in Uganda.

During the event, Bwayo Emma, the Namisindwa District Male Youth Councilor, was invited as a guest speaker. Emma advised BANSA leaders to be transparent, honesty, and accountable to all association members.

He emphasized the need for those in positions of leadership to use their influence to promote reconciliation and to educate young people about their role in politics.

The newly elected BANSA president, Bunoti Yousuf Wakora, pledged to seek partnerships and increase the association’s visibility to attract new members.
