Guidance! Embrace 4-Acre Model Farming, Thank Me Later! Gen. Museveni Tells Greater Kibaale Voters As PM Nabbanja Bags Millions Through Farming!

President Museveni has given magical bullet to the people of Greater Kibaale if they want to live like Lords and Queens in their homes!

The Head of State says the people of this Subregion need not to look anywhere else, but embrace the 4-acre model modern type of farming.

Museveni thinks this is the surest way these voters will have stable incomes for their households, just like it is the case with those of Gomba and Sembabule where he says are living a happy life!

“My people in Gomba and Sembabule are doing well. Over 2,035 households are already in the money economy through commercial agriculture following my poverty alleviation program in the area,” he stated while addressing crowds at Kikwaya primary school playground in PM Robinah Nabbanja’s Kakumiro district.

Museveni made the remarks last evening as he launched the Four-Acre Model campaign in aimed at empowering farmers in this area comprising of Kagadi, Kakumiro and Kibaale districts.

This initiative seeks to extend support and best farming practices to farmers in this part of the country.

The President recalled how he started preaching the gospel of wealth creation in the 1960s and up to now he is still doing so.

He said his guidance has helped a good number of Ugandans to create wealth, citing an example of the people in the cattle corridor who listened to his advice of embracing commercial dairy farming and are now doing well.

“The people of Greater Masaka also listened to our advice, they are growing coffee and are now doing well.” he noted.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja who elegantly donned a yellow gomesi spotted a beaming face as she showered praises on her boss Gen. Museveni thanking him for never ending guidance to wanainchi on how to fight poverty. She said the man with a round hat has consistently done this through different wealth creation initiatives such as commercial agriculture.

A jovial Nabbanja informed Museveni that she’s also practicing what she preaches to the people as she is also heavily engaged in commercial farming.

“Even me, I started a four-acre model farm, and I will invite you one day and see what we have done. I also have 6 acres of onions, I get between Shs300 – Shs400 million.” she said with a smiley face.

The Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Matia Kasaija was also present and thanked the President for his initiative of preaching wealth creation through commercial agriculture to Ugandans.

Another Minister Fred Byamukama appreciated President Museveni for the visit and for launching the model which will go a long way in promoting commercial agriculture, thus helping the farmers to create wealth.

“We believe in five years to come, every sub county will be having more than 100 Model farmers,” he said.

Earlier, the President made an extensive tour of the four-acre model farms in Kakumiro District.

The tour commenced at the Kamanyire Demonstration Farm owned by Hon. Byamukama which has several units including zero grazing, piggery, and poultry rearing.

Museveni also took time to inspect the different components of the farm, appreciating the dedication of Hon. Byamukama to comprehensive agricultural development.

One of the highlights of this tour was the pineapple plantation, where the President symbolically harvested ripe pineapples, signalling his support for diversified fruit farming.

Additionally, he toured the innovative four-acre model irrigation scheme which is powered by solar energy. This project is designed to assist village farmers with small plots in maintaining consistent crop yields through efficient water use.

The President then visited the farm of Ms. Namubiru Sylvia, also part of the Kamanyire farming initiative.

Located in Kikwaya village, Namubiru’s farm boasts productive coffee and banana plantations, alongside zero-grazing dairy cows and a piggery.
