The Minister of Energy and Mineral Development Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa is taking part in the ongoing 30th anniversary of the Africa Oil Week in South Africa.
The four-day event is focusing on oil and gas resources on the continent is held in Cape Town.
Nankabirwa updated participants about Uganda’s Oil and Gas project Sector.
“I discussed different ways to boost Private Sector participation in Uganda’s Oil & Gas sector as well as engaging with industry leaders on ways to drive sustainable oil & gas development in Uganda so as to position Uganda favourably as the investment destination of choice” she noted
She further reiterated that Uganda government is committed to developing and exploring its oil and gas resources working with all stakeholders to ensure that the exploration and development of Uganda’s oil and gas resources are conducted in a safe, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible manner.
The world class conference highlights all energy opportunities across the continent.
This pivotal event gathers key stakeholders including government officials, investors and industry experts to discuss and promote investment opportunities for sustainable development in Africa’s Oil and Gas sector.
The four Day conference is organized under the Theme investing in African energy.
