KAMPALA, Uganda — Ugandan rapper Da Agent has been recognised by Bossip Africa for a rapid-fire performance that has been entered into its record registry as the fastest rap delivery in East Africa.
Da Agent, whose real name is Ivan Wabwire, recorded the feat on his 2024 track “Tewepima Nange”, delivering 33 syllables in 3.75 seconds, according to the certificate issued by the Bossip Africa Record Registry.
The performance was calculated at 8.5 syllables per second, with the registry issuing the rapper a certificate on September 19, 2026.
The certificate, numbered BA-RR-2026-001, identifies the record as “Fastest Rapper in East Africa” and lists Kampala as the location of the performance.

The measurement was conducted by Derrick Ssentamu, who timed the passage and counted the syllables while listening to the recording at reduced speed. The assessment included Da Agent’s delivery in both Luganda and English.
The certificate was signed by Nathan Atiluk, editor-in-chief of Bossip Africa.
Building a career around speed
Da Agent has been part of Uganda’s hip-hop scene for more than a decade, having started his professional music journey around 2015.
He is known for a delivery style built around speed, wordplay and Luganda lyricism. His catalogue includes “Akadodi,” “Nturika,” “Nkalabuka,” “Njukunju,” “Baliwa,” “Ngalo Ngalo” and “Tewepima Nange.”
His influences include international rappers such as Twista, Eminem and Busta Rhymes, whose rapid delivery has also featured prominently in their music.
Da Agent has described his approach as “Lugaflow Lufula,” blending fast Luganda verses with proverbs, riddles, humour and elements of English.
The Bossip Africa certification focuses specifically on the measurable speed of his delivery. It does not assess the commercial success or popularity of the song, but records the number of syllables delivered within the measured time.
The recognition gives an international dimension to Da Agent’s long-running reputation for fast rap and places a Ugandan performance in a regional record context.
