Court in Entebbe presided over by Senior Grade one Magistrate Edgar Tibayeita Tumusiime on July 14, 2025 proved a prima facie case against Juma Musuuza alias Mudhubara-a shoemaker as well as a member of National Unity platform (NUP),on accusations of using hate speech to bad mouth the first family & speaker -Anitah Among.
The Magistrate gave Mudhubarah three options to defend himself but his Lawyer Jonathan Elotu chose that his client remains silent and leave court to decide on his fate.
The senior Magistrate set July 18, 2025 for Mudhubarah’s Lawyer to file his submissions, July 28,2025 for hearing submissions from both sides and then August 22,2025 for court to deliver it’s judgement.
In the last court sitting , prosecution Lawyer Paul Byamukama Aheebwa informed court that Prosecution was done with it’s investigations and ready to continue with the trial.
In the same vein , prosecution also informed court that it had closed hearing of its witnesses after a don from Makerere University School of Humanities and Languages failed to show up in court for the second time to testify against the accused for allegedly degrading President Yoweri Museveni, First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Speaker Anita Among on Tik Tok last year .
Mudhubarah is accused of using acidic language on top of spreading malicious information about President Yoweri Museveni, first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Speaker Anita Among.
Prosecution alleges that in October last year while in Wakiso district, Juma Musuuza alias Mudhubarah using his Tik Tok account Madubarah UG through a computer sent or shared information which is likely to ridicule, degrade or demean the the president , his son and the speaker of the parliament.
